You've been given a beginning and you already know that there is an end, just like any book, it has to end. The “in-between”, for those lucky enough to live, are the blank pages we have to write. Our life is a book and we are the main characters. In essence, we are our own authors. Now on the flip side, Christianity states, God is the author, that our lives are predestined. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. I don't know and I am sure the Pope can't tell you either.

Anywho . . . we are what we want to be in life. Do we listen to our internal moral compass or do we ignore it and say “Hell with the consequences.” I do assure you that karma does exist and it will seek you out for all the deeds you do in life but that is not my point. My point is, no one knows their purpose. Some people are lucky enough to be called to their profession. For example, some people are called into preaching. I can not describe what a “calling” is but it feels like you are being pulled in a direction and there's nothing you can do to fight against it. I was given a calling, I managed to ignore it for personal reasons but even to this day I am still being called to a certain path and that is why I want to go into social work. I believe my skills would be more beneficial to my fellow man than what I was first called to do.

So you are reared . . . you live according to your own beliefs and moral code. . . and you die. I don't know about you but I am more interested in the “in-between” than I am with the beginning or the end.

Please write more. And if you're open for some ideas to help cast the net and sift through what you like or don't as far as “who you are and want to be”, please call on me. At almost 38, I'm seeing the tip of iceberg of “what I want to be when I grow up” and it's refreshing. I began that on-purpose inquiry 1/2 my life ago. Really ticked me off along the way. But now I can breathe.

Peace to you on the journey. I hope I can be a contribution to YOU.

Many blessings,
Becky from
