For the past ~19 years or so, I have had some sort of blog - a place where I can write, think, and… write! This right here is where almost 2 decades of thoughts and experiences come to ahead.

About The Website

Over the years it has worn many faces - starting on MySpace, playing around with Windows Live Spaces, Blogger, landing on WordPress for the better part of a decade, and now this - built entirely from the ground up.

It went through a significant redesign in early 2026 as covered by the The Great 2026 Redesign, and then when I started wondering about the real future of my home on the internet, it again found itself at the end of The Re-Re-Redesign - a complete philosophical change to the way I approach my data.

On this space on the internet, I collect my Ramblings, my Music Reviews, some Travel Stories, and even some more creative ventures such as Fiction Writing and Poetry. You could argue that this website is the modern day journal of a sophisticated man making his way through life. But in reality, its more like Live Journal (shoutout to those who remember this one).

About Kyle (AKA Me)

A husband, father, erratic genius. An aspiring writer, podcaster, gamer. The man. the myth. The legend in digital flesh.

I really enjoy heavy music, technology and gaming. My music needs to be like lifting weights at the gym - always getting heavier. My technology must always be new and shiny. And my gaming must always remain unfinished.

I used to be a Top Windows Insider and Windows Insider MVP, but retired from the Program in 2019. If you’re looking for reasons, then you’re in luck - I wrote about why I stepped back from the program. I use X (Formerly Twitter) quite a bit as my social media of choice for a myriad of reasons, but I particularly like the no-nonsense feel of it. If there’s something worth calling out, it happens on X.

I like photography and have tried my hand at being artsy there. If you want you can judge me from afar over on Instagram. Tell me what you think of buildings, symmetry and some questionable filter choices.

I love Metal. In all shapes and forms. Steel, tungsten, aluminium! Ha, great joke Kyle. Why thank you. But I mean the music genre here. Heavy, open, honest, with enough distortion that it sounds like a cat going to the toilet through a sewn up bum. Thats a joke, but it really happened. If you’re into that sort stuff, then lets be friends on Apple Music! Which is also my streaming platform of choice. Because of the reasons that I have.

And finally the podcast - I like to spread my unfounded, unresearched and biased opinions all about the world of XBOX over on The XboxCast. This podcast started in 2016 and has been going strong (or at least not limping) since then. We chat about all things, have a few loyal fans (I dont know why) and find it’s a good creative outlet where playing games is actually part of the job. Its a win-win!

Oh, and somehow I’ve become a software developer too… Not sure when this happened, but check it out! I own and run Southlight I/O - good honest software building the tools I am missing from my life.
